How to be notified of school closures
Schools are sometimes closed due to inclement weather. Did you know you can be automatically notified of these closures?
The website www.schoolreport.org provides a free notification service. It's easy to register your email address to receive notifications for the Snohomish School District.
Here's an additional tip since you may not be checking your email when a notification is sent regarding the Snohomish School District. Register both your regular email address AND the email address for your cellular telephone, pager, or other wireless device. This assumes the phone/pager/device is capable of receiving text messages.
You can associate up to two alternate email addresses with your primary email address. This works great if you want to have any school-closure notifications sent to both you and your significant other, you own multiple wireless devices, etc.
- For cellular telephones, verify the email address for your device. Call your service provider for help, or review the list below.
- Send a test email message to the device. You can perform this test using any email client/software.
- If you received the test email message on the device, register the email address (for the device) with www.schoolreport.org as an alternate email address.
